Happy June
Let's get the summer started
It’s been a hot minute since the last time I wrote a newsletter. So today's newsletter is not so much about anything funny about happened to me (unless you count writing six books that will never be published as funny), but more of a writing update.

Anyway, I decided I know what I wanted to be when I grow up and have thrown myself head-first into a new writing project, a humorous fantasy novel titled Glorious Bastard. I decided to get rid of all the writing advice I’ve ever read that puts me (a square peg) into a round hole (their advice), and just do the one thing I know will finish my novel: write everyday.
Which includes not writing an outline, btw. A decision that I might sorely regret at the 50% mark ahaha.
Idk about anyone else, but I tend to throw myself into projects. (As The Husband would say right now, “Ya think?”) This habit kind of clashes with writing a book, which tends to be longer than my said outbursts.
But here is the thing I learned recently: if I like what I am doing, then I can sustain myself on the same project indefinitely. So far, I haven’t liked any of my projects long enough to sustain me. This project is better, just in the same way that every single book I write is better. Self-exploration and all of that.
I’ve also made the decision to publish this newsletter once per month. I make no money on it because I decided to keep it free for as long as I decide to make it paid, but that’s not the reason why I made the decision. I think for people like me, e.g. who don’t write a newsletter for monetary gain, letting you know that I’m alive is enough of a goal. After almost three years at a newsletter, I kinda ran out of things to say about myself.
But that’s okay, too. Because I can then throw myself into other projects, mainly writing more books. :)
Happenings
Since this newsletter was the happenings, I will leave this fairly short. First off, let me know if you liked the book reviews. I made a goal of doing them for one year to see if anyone liked them, so let me know if you want them back. They are a lot of work, but I did enjoy them.
Also, I have some sauces ‘n stuff on the website:
Homemade Strawberry Jam (sooooo easy to make)
McDonald’s Sweet and Spicy Jam Knockoff … at the time of this writing, I’m the only person who has an actual recipe for this stuff. It’s also a discontinued product.
